My youngest Rep Bailee had the opportunity to go to her school's winter formal and she and her date really wanted to have pictures taken.  Bailee was so beautiful in her sweet simple lace dress and Adam so handsome in his formal wear. Originally we were expecting cold weather and Bailee planned her whole outfit around it by bringing in the color green just so she would match her coat and while the planning was a good thing she ended up not needing her coat after all.    We had the huge surprise of having almost 80 degree weather in February it was absolutely amazing.  Bailee and her mom decided the best place to take her pictures was laumeier sculpture park and all I can say about the location is  WOW!!!  I hope you all love Bailee and Adam's pictures I know I had a ton of fun creating them.

Looking for Model/Reps

Brrr... Hello All on this bitterly cold winter evening. I wanted to take a minute and chat with you all about my search for new Reps.. Every year (sometimes twice a year) I reach out to you all requesting new Model/Reps for Halo & Wings Photography.  It never occurred to me to explain to you what I am looking for. 

So some of you might ask what exactly is a Model/Rep?  

It is a team of people from high schools in the St. Louis and Southern Illinois areas, who have an awesome time building relationships and taking pictures while representing Halo & Wings Photography!  
Are you a current Freshman, Sophomore or Junior at a high school in St. Louis or the surrounding areas?  
Do you LOVE being in front of the camera and playing dress up?  
Do you want to be a part of something EPIC?  
Then you just may have what it takes to be on the Halo & Wings Photography Model/Rep Team!!

I love shooting high school students and wanted to create a program that would be fun and meaningful, and so much fun you just have to share the experience with your friends!

What's in it for you?

My Reps will be involved in several fun themed shoots throughout their time with Halo & Wings Photography.  They have the opportunity to earn points and discounts that would go towards their senior photography session and they earn friendships for life.  Its truly not about the prettiest, most handsome or guys and girls that fit a certain "look".  I am looking for motivated, involved, kind, fun out going people who love to meet others and are not afraid to rock the lens.  We will spend our time together building community, lifting each other up and of course creating gorgeous images!

What does it take to be a Model/Rep?

You must be in high school, represent only Halo & Wings Photography until graduation and use the images we create for your social media profiles.  You must participate in the photoshoot planned for May and have your senior portrait session done by Halo & Wings Photography, be active on social media and share your images and experience with your friends!  Think of your role as a Brand Ambassador with lots of perks.

Velvet Collinsville HS Senior

Hello all so nice to see you here on my blog again.  I wanted to say a few things about one of my Reps, Velvet is a fun, sweet and silly girl who I really hadn't gotten to spend as much time with as I wanted.  Velvet is very special to her family, she is the first girl in 50 years to graduate from high school which I find amazing and wonderful.  She is a goofy girl with a lightness to her spirit that makes me so glad that the little bit of time we did get to spend together was so much fun and just special.  I really hope that you all enjoy her portraits and know that these are so special to her family and a true momentous occasion.

Bri Senior 2015 Collinsville HS

Hello everyone I thought I would stop in on this freezing cold Saturday evening and tell you about this beautiful senior I was privileged to capture a few weeks ago.  Bri is a 2015 senior from Collinsville.  She is enrolled in their CNA program and is such a sweet girl.  I had so much fun capturing her fun personality and her beauty.  I know she loves her pictures as much as I do.

I don't know if you all know this but this is my fourth year having a Rep program.  I spend a lot of time with my Reps and enjoy most of it lol... The first year I had my program I had one beautiful Rep who I still see and rely on, maybe not as a rep but as a friend.  Eva comes to my home several times a week as a tutor to my oldest son and I love getting to see her and have a relationship with her even after all this time.  In my years having the Rep program I have had a lot of kids sign up to be reps, some have worked out and some have not worked out at all but I have learned something from each and everyone of them.  I have improved my craft and have developed long term (I hope) relationships with the kids.   I am very lucky and really have to remind myself of that sometimes.  This past weekend I was able to spend the morning with two of my current Seniors and I think we had a fun time and it was so special to me to be able to talk and laugh with them in a relaxed setting.  I thought with this blog I would show our time we had together but I also wanted to highlight some of my other Seniors over the years.
