It's supposed to be snowing!

Hello all!  I finished up my last weekend of shooting this past Sunday and I am anxious for a wee break from taking pictures.  That doesn't mean I am abandoning anyone but it does mean I am taking a break from the weather by staying inside lol.    I kept telling the girls that I would still be shooting but that we were supposed to get snow and it was going to be really cold, it didn't phase these girls at all.  Saturday the girls and I went into St. Louis to see what mischief we could get into and hopefully to take some epic images.  Sadly no mischief but we did get some epic shots.  We ended up taking advantage of Forest Park and its many nooks and crannies to take some beautiful images and we got to scout out the spectacular grounds of the Lemp Mansion and Brewery.  I hope you love these shots as much as I do.
Saturday.

Sunday...

Sunday we decided to explore the SIUe campus and we literally froze while doing it, well not literally but it sure felt like we were freezing at times lol.  What troopers these girls were they were game to keep going even when I was ready to throw in the towel.  You all have met Landri but I was privileged to take pictures of a few new girls this go around so I hope you will give them a little face book love.  Enjoy!

2015 - 2016 Reps

Good day to all my blog followers.  This past week has been a whirlwind of shoots, 10 in total and 7 of them on Saturday alone.  What a beautiful day to shoot, windy but sunny and warm.  The kids that were with me that day were all new to my Rep program and to my shooting style so we had to iron out a few hiccups but eventually we worked it all out and we ended up with some beautiful images.  Here they are I hope you enjoy them.  By the way we were at the gorgeous Pere Marquette State Park for our day of shooting.

The next day of shooting was on Sunday and I was supposed to have a bigger group of kids but the flu has reared its ugly head and 4 of them had to back out and wait for another day.  I hope they are feeling better today.  So instead of a crop of new Reps to introduce you too I had some oldies but goodies from last year.

I want to take this time to thank Midwest Air Wing for allowing us to shoot at their beautiful airport on Sunday.  As you can see it is a scenic area with some great buildings we were able to take advantage of.  Thanks again President John.

Red Riding Hood...

Hello all tonight was the night for the Red Riding Hood shoot.  I decided to do this shoot with some of my younger Reps so as to give them a little love and attention.  We had such a good time and the girls really seemed to enjoy themselves.  We took a risk and invaded Wilson Park here in Granite, the reason for the risk you ask... Well we had an ax as well as a cross bow and technically weapons are illegal in the park.  Big Risk?  Nah not really lol I got permission.  I hope you enjoy the pics because I sure do.  These are my favorites.  Enjoy!

Senior Pics and what to wear!

Hello everyone its a wet and rainy day outside so I thought it would be a great day to write an informative blog about what you should wear for your senior portraits.  So many times I see the seniors being confused about what to wear for their portraits and I have some very simple rules for this.  I found all of the photos on Pinterest
so if any of you want to look for outfits or how to style yourselves for your pics just check out pinterest for inspiration.

On to the Rules!!

1.  Be You!!  You don't want to look back and not see your personal style at the time of your senior portraits shining through.  You do however want to be you but in an elevated way.

2.  Variety Variety Variety!!   Mix it up make sure there are a variety of outfits that show who you are.

3.  Accessories are King!   Bring items that show off the outfit but also show off who you are.  Different accessories for different outfits can make your photo shoot more fun and the portraits to have variety and impact.

4.  Have Fun!  If you are nervous or worried it will show in your portraits.  Think about something you love that makes you happy and enjoy the experience.  Your High School senior portraits only come around once so make the most of it!!!

I hope that this helps with what you should wear for your senior portraits.  The only other advice I have is to be prepared, figure out what you want to wear and be ready for your session when your appointment time comes.  There is nothing worse then running around like a chicken without its head on the day of your photo shoot.

Jenniba Senior 2015

Hello everyone!  Tonight I had the pleasure of showing Jenniba and her family her stunning senior portraits.  Jenniba is a beautiful girl inside and out and I had a wonderful time working with her this year.  This girl is going to go on to become something special that is for sure.  We talked about what she wanted to do in her college years and her answer was to either be a lawyer or a physical therapist I think whichever she chooses she will do well in.  Without further ado her are my favorite' s of her sessions.

How Sweet is This (Candy Store Makeup Shoot)

Hello all!!  The extreme makeup candy shoot has finally happened and it was so much fun!!  Initially we were supposed to have three girl participate in the shoot but one of my girls got sick at the last min. and had to cancel, but everything worked out in the end.  The Girls and I along with our fabulous hair and makeup artist Kayla showed up to How Sweet is This candy store in Clayton Missouri and even after I warned them just how tiny the little shop was I think everyone was taken a back by just how teeny tiny it really is, but even tiny things come in cute packages and this little sweet shop was no exception.  I wanted the girls to look like employees in the store so I has them wear a sort of uniform and these pretty little white gloves it was just too cute for words.  So.... on to the pics so you all can see for yourselves just how beautiful the girls are and how fun the little shop is.  Enjoy!
