I was so happy to have Lily all to myself. Until this year Lily was a mascot of sorts for the Rep team. It was always fun to have her come and hang out at the Rep shoots and maybe jump into a couple of shots but this year I opened up the team to include kids starting at age 11 and then she was all in as a full fledged member of the team. I initially had her come in to use the studio setup but I just wasn't feeling it so we made the choice to go outside and wouldn't you know it, it was snowing how lucky were we. The outfits we had put together worked out so well outdoors and in the snow so why not make it work. I am so glad we went outside it was beautiful and so much fun! Enjoy
Sammi's individual shoot was so much fun. Initially she didn't think that she was going to have any art to display but Santa and her parents were kind to her and she ended up with a bunch of art supplies. She is so talented and I loved having her pull out old pieces that she had forgotten she had done and then comparing how much she had grown over the years. Enjoy her shoot I think we both showed off our art in a great and creative way!
Ahh Miss Kenzie... I love that she is a such a drama queen, I don't mean that in the way you would think either. Kenzie is really super down to earth, sweet and just a great girl, by drama queen I mean that she loves acting and being on a the schools speech team, she just loves to perform. When I came up with this idea of doing individual shoots utilizing the studio set up I wanted to portray the girls and their hobbies but I wanted to make them fit my style as well. I had been seeing these commercials for the movie A Simple Favor and loved the outfits that Blake Lively was wearing and thought that Kenzie could pull the look off really well and she was really excited when I showed her the inspiration. This look is nothing more than pure drama and I love it!! Enjoy!
Hello All!! So 2019 huh? The first month of this year is almost over and how has 2019 been treating you so far? It has been a bit rough on the Illinois side of the river lots of snow and cold weather but again it is January in the Midwest so it is not too big of a surprise LOL. I did have a chance to take some great shots of the cutest little bit in the snow the other day and it was so much fun. I mean we were only a few steps away from the warmth of the house so no biggie right? Because of the weather I wanted to continue to utilize the studio set up and get my lighting techniques on point. Last year I started using the studio set up and decided that I wanted to have each Rep have an individual session using the set up. If you remember we did a fun shoot with Alyssa and her outfit was a bit over the top but very pretty and feminine and then with Delaney we did a 20's Gatsby themed shoot with her and her boyfriend. We have had Kenzie and Sammi's shoots planned for awhile but what with Christmas and everything else going on we just could not make it happen until now. So I will be releasing their shoots over the next month or two so keep an eye out for them. I also wanted to take a minute or two to let you all know that I am on the hunt for the best new Reps in this and the outlying areas. So if you want to be on the team email me, call me, text me whatever just reach out. I will be having two teams this year one team with kids ages 10 through 16 who will be coined the Chicklet team and girls and guys who are 2020 or 2021 seniors and they will be the Fly Girls or Guys. I have a lot of things planned for this season and really want a full team of 12 to 20 Reps between the two teams. So again hit me up to be on the team.
I am sure some of you have seen the posts about the shoe drive we are featuring but just to reiterate we are asking for new or gently used shoes. I have a company that will purchase them from me and the money we make will be donated to the Red Nose Day campaign we are all so excited to be giving back to this amazing charity. We are also going to be doing a sock drive for the homeless later in the year as well as helping out wherever we can in our home towns. This really will be a fun and giving rep season so come on and join already!
