Kentucky Derby Shoot

Okay I am back, I know it's a miracle LOL!  I wanted to share with you all the rest of my amazing shoot with my new Reps and with a few of my older Reps.  We got to shoot at this Amazing location, it's called Rocky Branch Stables and it's located in Bethalto Il.  I really wasn't too sure how things were going to turn out because equine photography is not my forte but I slogged ahead and made it work.  Lisa the owner of the stables was fantastic and made all the Reps feel very welcome and she brought out the most gentle horse for us to take pics with.  Molly the horse quickly charmed the whole crew and we all had a fantastic time.  Enjoy the pics..

INTRODUCING!!!!!!

Its that time... Time to introduce you to the newbies that had their first Rep shoot just last Sunday.  I wanted to do something different for me and to challenge myself so I decided that I needed to take pictures of horses and what better to have as a theme in May then to portray the Kentucky Derby.  My new Reps signed up in January and have been waiting anxiously until their time to get behind the camera.  I was so proud of all the Reps I thought that they were going to be nervous around the horses but it was all I could do to get them away from them long enough to finish the shoot lol.  Well here are the newbies in all their glory .. Enjoy and of course there will be more to come from this shoot.

Nathan 2016 Highland Senior

So Nathan was one of my last min. 2016 seniors.. But as I say it's never too late to get your senior pictures done.  I mean think about it your senior pictures are usually the last big picture session you will have until your wedding. So with Nathan we were cutting things pretty close but Mother Nature just wouldn't cut us any slack and we had to postpone the shoot a couple of times before we were able to finish up. The first day we started out at Forest Park and as I was waiting for Nathan and his mom to arrive the radio started freaking out with WARNING WARNING THIS IS NOT A TEST!!! basically we were smack dab in the middle a big storm.  Once they made it into the park we decided to hop into the van and tour the park looking for amazing and well we got it... We stopped over by the golf course and was able to kill two birds with one stone.  I managed to get a few spectacular shots of Nathan but in the background you see the storm barrelling our way.  The park was emptying out pretty fast so we made our way up to the art museum where all hell broke loose.  We rode out the storm and finished up the session down by the water amid the rain drops.  We were losing the light pretty fast so we decided to continue his session the next day down at the graffiti wall.  It was quite the adventure and I know they loved their pictures.  Here a few of my fav's!

Paige Belleville East HS Senior

One thing I dislike about doing my seasonal sessions is that I can't share these portraits with you all and with the client until winter; that being said the seasonal sessions not only represent the season they can also show the changes in the senior.  This seasonal session is with Paige a senior from Belleville East as you can see Paige changed her look up quite a bit in between her sessions and it looks amazing.  Paige is heavily involved with choir and drama and plans on attending Mckendree University after high school.  I always have such a great time hanging out with Paige and her mom we all have a lot in common and tend to have a few sing a longs while driving to whatever location we have decided on for the pics.  Here are a few of my favorites I hope she loves them as much as I do.

Jesianne Collinsville Senior 2016

Good day everyone.  I wanted to tell you a bit about Miss Jesianne.  Jesianne is not your typical senior girl, she is amazing!!  Jesianne is a pageant girl, a soccer star and a tomboy.  How do all of these types of girls reside in just one body you ask, well like I said she is AMAZING!!  Jesianne has been a Rep for me for quite some time and I am just so privileged to have had her on my team.  We had been trying to get her senior pictures done since September and nothing ever seemed to go our way and so we ended up shooting her session with only 18 days to go before her graduation.  But we got it done and as usual she is magic in front of the camera.  Here is Miss Jesianne and her beautiful senior pictures.. Enjoy!!!
